It’s no surprise that over the past year we’ve had to cancel a LOT of trips. So for this roundup of Airbnb’s in Chile, I thought I’d share all the canceled reservations that we would love to rebook one day. If you get to check these spots out before we do, tag me, share your experience, I’d love to see!!
We booked a trip to Chiloé in May 2020 and again in March 2021 and both got canceled due to quarantine/travel restrictions here in Chile… so third times a charm right?? This cabin in the middle of rural Chiloé is located about 4.5 km from the town of Dalcahue. The views, hot-tub, modern cabin design, and location is what sold us on this spot!

This cancellation really broke my heart. We originally booked this trip with two other couples and the space would have made for an incredible long weekend away on the Maullin River (Rio Maullin). It’s surrounded by native forests, 6 minutes from the town of Puerto Varas, and only 20 minutes from the airport. If you’re looking for a smaller space, the host has three other cabins that I’ve linked below for you to check out.

Located in Puerto Natales, your gateway to the Torres del Paine National Park! If you’ve checked out our travel guide to Torres del Paine, then you may have already seen this listing…. We love that you’re close to town but not in town so you’ve got the best of both worlds. You’re on the water with stunning views of the fjords and mountains and although we didn’t get to experience it ourselves, we know this would make for a great home base as you adventure around this part of the Patagonian region!

Another listing in the middle of Patagonian nature! At this location, you’re 25 minutes from Villa Cerro Castillo, 90 minutes from the Balmaceda airport, and 2 hours from Coyhaique. Expect no wifi or service and just enjoy everything that this region has to offer… it’s truly the perfect place for fly fishing, hiking, stargazing, or even just staying put and taking in the cabin’s views of the mountains and glaciers!

The views! I know I keep saying this on every listing but I guess that’s why we booked these spots… incredible locations with incredible views! This area is the closest access point to visit the marble caves or ‘Capilla de Mármol’ (on our Chilean bucketlist) and the stunning Glaciar San Rafael. We had this booked in combination with our listing above in Cerro Castillo… something to consider if you’re planning travels to this region. Since we haven’t made it down here, here’s a site that may be helpful as you research the area!

And lastly, another listing we’ve booked twice and have yet to make it to… it’s rare to find design like this in the area so when browsing ski getaways, this definitely stood out!! This cozy chalet is located in a quiet area of Valle Las Trancas and about 10km away from the ski center of Chillan.
